Nkunda has been implicated in numerous war crimes, crimes against humanity and other serious human rights abuses since 2002.
Several international human rights organizations included Amnesty International and Human and Human Rights Watch have documented summary executions, torture, civilian massacre, recruiting child soldiers some as young as 12 after abducting them from their homes, looting, sexual violence and rape committed by soldiers under Nkunda's command for the past 6 years.
